Building the Officience Alumni Hub: Connecting a Community
Officience, Vietnam’s first software outsourcing company, recognized the untapped potential of its alumni network. While many alumni (Offy Alumni) maintained informal relationships, there was no central, engaging platform to nurture these relationships, facilitate networking, or support community events. The challenge was to create a digital hub that not only connected current and former Officience talent, but also served as a dynamic content repository for community news and event promotion, while also reflecting the company’s culture. Our process began with strategic planning and a framework to define core functionality and user experience. Leveraging Relume.io, I designed a clear site structure that prioritized intuitive navigation with dedicated sections for a prominent banner, company introduction, team profiles, event listings, and a video gallery.
For development, I chose a modern, high-performance platform. The frontend was built using Nuxt.js and Vue.js, ensuring a highly responsive and engaging user interface. To help the Officience team manage content easily, I integrated Prismic.io as a frontendless CMS, allowing for seamless updates of events, alumni stories, and other dynamic content without developer intervention.
I also worked closely with Ms. Han and Ms. Duyen to develop content that ensured the community’s brand consistency and appeal. My personal connection to Officience fueled my dedication to delivering a platform that truly honors its legacy and facilitates meaningful connections. Since its launch in April 2025, the Officience Alumni Hub has successfully become a central point for reconnecting alumni and fostering a vibrant community. The platform has quickly become a platform for promoting and managing key events, including:
- "Alumni Sharing: Startups - Opportunities and Challenges": This event brings together experienced alumni to share insights, foster mentorship and network collaboration.
- "Offy Open 2025 - The Heat is On": This engaging event has helped to foster camaraderie and expand the network through friendly competition.
Easy content management through Prismic.io has allowed the Officience team to continuously update the website with new events and community news, leading to increased engagement and network expansion among Offy alumni. This platform has effectively bridged the gap, transforming informal relationships into an active and organized community.
